This version is very much like the standard version of Key2html but has the options set to allow for maximum ease in the conversion of keys for the Ferns of Bolivia website.
Please note the following:
Take care that all genus abbreviations ("T. lanigera") have been replaced by genus names ("Terpsichore lanigera"; use a search & replace function), or database searches will not work. Take care that species numbers are used either for all species or for none at all (default). Copy only the couplets into the following text window, no title, no instructions etc.
Keys linking to other keys only (most family keys): Use the option "link all taxa to synonymous html files" (default).
Keys linking to the database only (most genus keys): Use the option "link all taxa with custom link".
Keys linking to other keys and database searches (family keys leading to genera and directly to some very distinctive species): Use the option "decide individually using '|' + number". Place "|1" directly in front of all species names ("|1Terpsichore lanigera").
Copy the part of the html code produced by Key2html from the first to the second table-tag into the appropriate part of a html-file containing an existing key. "Save as" under the name expected by other key files linking to this new file - usually taxon name plus ".html". Move the new key file into the /keys-folder of the website. The cross-references will only work if all key files are in the same folder and have the right names.
